Industrial Revenue Bonds Source: Alachua County | Up to $10,000,000 for various industrial business development costs. |
Commercial/Industrial Service Rider (CISR) Source: Duke Energy | Requires a minimum 500 kW of new load or retention of 500 kW existing load for Florida customers whose current load is less than 10,000 kW. Qualifying applicants will receive a discounted electric rate calculated on a case-by-case basis. |
Economic Development Rider Source: Duke Energy | Requires a 500 kW demand or greater* (≥50% LF) and must be a Florida targeted industry. Qualified companies will receive a five-year declining discount on demand and energy charges. |
Economic Re-development Source: Duke Energy | Requires a 350 kW demand or greater* (≥50% LF), produce 15 new jobs or $200,000 capital investment and must be a Florida targeted industry. Qualified companies will receive a three-year declining discount on demand, energy and non-fuel charges. |
Clay Electric Rebate Program Source: Clay Electric | Up to $50’000 in matching grants to stimulate the revitalization of key areas in the community. |
GRU Economic Development Rate Source: GRU | Up to 20% on a five-year term for expanding or new businesses, and based on energy usage per month. |
CRA Façade Grants Source: Gainesville CRA | Program provides grant funding for customized, skills-based curriculum development and training, through partial reimbursement, to new or expanding businesses in Florida’s targeted industries. |
CRA Job creation Incentive Source: Gainesville CRA | For each job paying at least 70% of the average annual wage and over 100% of the average annual wage for Alachua County, the incentive is $1,500 per job, payable as $750 each year over a two year period. |
Florida High Tech Corridor Council (FHTCC) Matching Funds Research Program Source: The Florida High-tech Corridor Council | Proposals are sought for collaborative research and development projects between technology companies that maintain a physical presence within the 23 counties of the Florida High Tech Corridor and University of Florida (UF) faculty. $20k – $100k annual award. |
University of Florida Industry Partnership Matching Grants Program Source: The University of Florida | The grant seeks to promote early- to late-stage technology development and commercialization through collaborative research projects (for 12 months) between University of Florida’s Principal Investigators (PIs) and high tech (UFLIPS-G) and energy (UFLIPS-E) companies located in Florida. From 25k to 50k in awards. |
Capital Investment Tax Credit (CITC) Source: State of Florida | Reserved for capital-intensive ventures in high-impact industries. It is an annual credit, provided for up to twenty years, against the corporate income tax. Projects must also create a minimum of 100 jobs and invest at least $25 million in eligible capital costs. |
