The Greater Gainesville Chamber invites guests to explore the possibilities in Florida’s Eden this January.
We will be hosting our 2022 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 2 from 6 to 9:30 PM at the UF Hilton Conference Center.
The meeting is intended to provide the board of directors, general membership holders and members of the community with an update on the state of affairs of the Chamber, an overview of the Chamber’s accomplishments within 2021 and what to expect within the coming year.
The night will be broken up into three main segments:
- a condensed cocktail hour
- the main program
- post-function dessert
Guests are encouraged to begin arriving around 6 PM, as the pre-function bar will temporarily close once the program itself begins promptly at 7 PM.
During the program, guests will be served dinner, and a variety of topics will be covered, including the passing of the gavel ceremony, remarks from the outgoing and incoming board chairmen, comments from President/CEO Eric Godet and the presentation of five awards.
A cocktail and dessert portion will follow the presentation, ending the night at 9:30 PM.
Guests will be expected to wear cocktail attire to the event, and tickets will cost $125 for members and $150 for non-members. All community members are welcome to attend.
This year’s annual meeting theme will be “Places.” Greater Gainesville contains a plethora of naturally beautiful and historically rich locations that add to the character and attraction of the region, which we aim to celebrate with the event.
The meeting and its décor will showcase four of these natural wonders: the springs, the prairie, the historic district and the solar fields.
We hope to create an experience that reflects the beauty of Gainesville and all the opportunities that it provides!
