Gainesville Loves the Gators celebrates our hometown team August 27 – September 3!
Join us at the Greater Gainesville Chamber as we show our appreciation for all things Gator! Gainesville Loves the Gators is a week-long celebration of our community and some of the businesses, organizations and activities that make our home special.
The Greater Gainesville Chamber is kicking off its second annual Gainesville Loves the Gators Scavenger Hunt this Saturday, August 27th. For this popular, community-wide event, hand-painted wooden alligators, each designed by our talented Artisans’ Guild artists, will be hidden each day from August 27th to Friday, September 2nd at local businesses. Clues will be posted on the Gainesville Chamber website and its social media channels. Everyone who finds a gator gets to keep it and will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for a fabulous prize, generously donated by the University Athletic Association (UAA). The Grand Prize drawing will be held at the Chamber’s Gameday Tailgate, Saturday, September 3rd.
Sponsors for this celebration include the Gainesville Sports Commission and Duke Energy and 60 local businesses will be hiding the gators.
