EXACTECH BUILDS A 67,000 SQ FT FACILITY AND ADDS 200 GAINESVILLE-BASED JOBS

GAINESVILLE, FL – Exactech—a Gainesville-grown global medical device manufacturer that develops and produces innovative bone and joint restoration products—has expanded its physical footprint with the addition of a new 67,000 square feet facility. In addition to its physical expansion the company has created 114 new jobs after strong economic growth in Gainesville between 2017 and 2018. In 2019 they are adding an addition 100 jobs. “Exactech’s success contributes directly to the economic health of our region and it brings us closer to reaching the goals of ‘Transforming Greater Gainesville’,” remarked Nancy Eckert, chair of the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce economic development committee. Exactech has focused on recruiting top talent from the University of Florida, Santa Fe College and our regional workforce through CareerSource North Central Florida.

The inauguration of the facility will take place on June 5th alongside the Healthcare & Biotechnology Council meeting with elected officials, professionals of the industries and representatives from the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce. “Finding opportunities to tell Greater Gainesville’s story is always exciting.
