Gainesville Health & Fitness’s Seven Year Renovation Project is Complete With the Opening of the New Pool Area

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Gainesville Health & Fitness’s Seven Year Renovation Project...

GHF OPENS AQUIX

Gainesville Health & Fitness continues to elevate fitness with the final renovation of a seven-year, multi-million dollar transformation. Introducing AQUIX, the new pool area that that is more like a hotel spa than a gym, designed to encourage relaxation and recovery.

For four decades, GHF has helped people feel better and become healthy, and this summer, GHF has once again revolutionized fitness with its newly remodeled, state-of-the-art pool area.

AQUIX by GHF, is a new aqua experience that will transport members into a world of relaxation, recovery and healing. From the cedar ceilings and attractive lighting, to spa-like architectural vision, it’s more like a hotel resort spa than a local fitness center.

“Everything about us at GHF has been about improving your health, said Joe Cirulli, CEO and Owner of GHF. “Whether it’s through strength training, cardiovascular training or healthy eating. But I realized over time there was one thing that was missing that we could do really well. That was the concept of recovery. Not only helping people recover from their workouts, but helping people recover from life. We designed a space that would help people destress and recovery from the challenges of everyday life.”

Members can awaken their body in the newly remodeled pool area that features a 75ft indoor lap pool, a Himalayan salt wall sauna, a spacious, cleansing steam room, a warm thermal pool, a hot whirlpool, an arctic cold pool and many aqua classes that encourage recovery and reduce stress. In 2011 a major renovation was planned for GHF to include each of the three centers. Officially breaking ground in 2012, the goal was to provide the people of Gainesville the same experience one could expect to receive in a major US city.

The expanded 78,000-square-foot GHF main center features the latest fitness equipment, upgraded spaces and specialized boutique studios with expert trainers. GHF Women was completely remodeled in October 2016 and substantial improvements were made to the GHF Tioga location. Renovations were completed in summer of 2018.

AQUIX by GHF is open to all GHF members. For more information, visit www.ghfc.com/pool or call (352) 377-4955.
