As Vice President of Economic Development, Thomas is tasked with driving the Transforming Greater Gainesville strategy in four major areas – business intelligence, branding and promotion, business recruitment and business expansion. Thomas works with numerous stakeholders in business, education, civic and government. This requires transparency, trust and leadership. Thomas and the entire team in economic development strives to make the Greater Gainesville region more competitive by supporting an environment for both companies and people.
Hometown: I was born in Remagen (Germany) famed for its Ludendorff Bridge that possibly shortened WWII in Europe.
Favorite thing about Gainesville: Since I am very new to the Greater Gainesville area, I have much to explore.

Something unique about you: I love to travel; My favorite way to travel across the Atlantic is in Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 in December.
