Gainesville Loves the Gators taking place Nov. 20 – 27
Join us at the Greater Gainesville Chamber as we show our appreciation for all things Gator! Gainesville Loves the Gators is a week-long celebration of our community and some of the businesses, organizations and activities that make our home special. Watch for more details on these upcoming events the week of Thanksgiving:
This celebration will include:
Scavenger Hunt, Saturday, November 20 – Friday, November 26 throughout Greater Gainesville
- Where are the gators? 48 one-of-a-kind gators will be hiding out around the community throughout this week. Will you catch the clues and find one of these special gators, hand-painted by our talented Artisans’ Guild artists? We’ll be posting clues each day on our social media channels to guide your search, and each lucky winner will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for a gator-sized prize, generously donated by the University Athletic Association. Don’t miss out—start following us on Facebook and Instagram today!
Chomp the Block tabling: Friday, November 26 at Celebration Pointe
- Chomp the Block is the official block party of Florida Gator Football, held at Celebration Pointe Friday nights before Gator home games. Come out for the party, which features activities for all ages and stages. We’ll have a table here with free gator-themed swag—first come, first served—and one-of-a-kind t-shirts for purchase. Don’t miss the party before the big UF/FSU game on Saturday!
Tailgating at the UF/FSU Game: Saturday, November 27 outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
- Stop by and say hi on your way into the stadium. We’ll be celebrating a great week, and we’ll be drawing the Scavenger Hunt Grand Prize winner before this rivalry game kicks off!
