“The groundbreaking has been successful because of the support of the Builders Association of North Central Florida,” PACE board member Tammy Prince said.
“They have donated their materials and labor, making this possible.”
PACE Center for Girls takes in girls from a range of backgrounds and provides them with the tools necessary to have a brighter future. It is a center that believes in the future of its girls and works to create an environment where they can thrive.
“Our statistics are impressive, but it is the success we see one girl at a time that lets us know we are truly making a difference,” Prince said.
The staff at PACE follows Alachua County curriculum but also work closely to teach their girls skills that are necessary for life beyond the center.
“PACE focuses on the potential of each girl, rather than the choices she may make," Prince said.
"Through constant encouragement and counseling, these at-risk teenage girls learn to embrace PACE’s guiding principles.”
