Business Enrollment Development Program to Meet Needs of Working Professionals
In his 2015 State of the Union address, the President called on businesses to invest in training and skill development for their employees. The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and UNITE-LA partnered with the Lumina Foundation to conducted research on businesses that facilitate employees’ attainment of postsecondary credentials and degrees, preparing workers to garner success in our global economy. Today companies are investing in their employees’ postsecondary education attainment by offering programs like tuition assistance and flexible hours.
Whether Alachua County employees are looking to grow within their current organization or career field, Santa Fe College’s Business Enrollment Management Program has the tools to help them reach their personal and professional career goals.
To extend its reach to working professionals, Santa Fe College has made a commitment to establish a solid relationship with the business community. The goal is to help employees evolve and grow. To achieve this goal, Santa Fe College will have representatives visit organizations and share information about online classes, certificate programs, and degree programs.
“We are the go-to institution in our city but we are also the college who takes our resources to the business community,” said President Dr. Jackson Sasser. “By offering options for non-traditional students, we are able to help meet the unique needs of all students.”
Many companies offer tuition reimbursement as a part of their benefits package. In addition, some organizations offer flex time that allow employees to use their break time or extra hours for education purposes. When employees are looking to achieve a career goal, and would desire small class sizes, passionate professors or online classes, Santa Fe College is an affordable, viable option.
Pre-College advisors will share specific information about the college’s eight bachelor degree programs, 50-plus Associate of Art degree programs, 25-plus associate of science programs and 40-plus certificate programs. Advisors are also trained to share information about the admissions process as well as steps to take for re-admission to Santa Fe College.
