The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce thanks Senator Rob Bradley, and other leaders of the Florida Senate for voting “yes” on CS/CS/HB 1355. The bill, which was sponsored and advanced in the House by Rep. Keith Perry requires a referendum for City of Gainesville voters to determine whether to create the Gainesville Regional Utilities Authority.
The bill now awaits signature by Governor Rick Scott. If he signs it, the referendum will appear on the March 2017 ballot.
