Tech Hobnob Isn’t Your Average Career Fair

hobnob16-1-webThe Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with the Gainesville Tech Council and CareerSource North Central Florida to host Tech Hobnob, an event connecting University of Florida and Santa Fe College students with Gainesville’s top technology companies.  Fifteen local tech employers and two community organizations met with more than 75 of the best and brightest local students studying in STEM areas to promote internship and job opportunities in Gainesville. This is the fourth time the Chamber has hosted this event, which originated after the Gainesville Tech Council identified a need for a tech industry-specific career fair. Tech Hobnob helps to make connections to prospective employers with students who are ready to transfer their talents from the classroom to the real world.
