Connect with Gainesville’s newest co-working studio, Home Work, as it introduces its first Studio Talk on Thursday, Jan. 14., 5-7 p.m. This series is about inspiring artists, sparking creativity, enhancing their value and most importantly, supplying them with a wealth of knowledge they can use in their creative path. Recent Brooklyn transplant, Jessica Roux, will be presenting at the first installment of the talks, “Illustration AD: Analog & Digital.” After graduating from the Savannah College of Art & Design, she moved to Brooklyn to work for Tinybop, Inc. before freelancing full-time. A few of her clients include the New York Times, Smithsonian Magazine and Squarespace. Home Work, located at 528 N Main St., is a coworking studio for freelance and remote workers in the creative industry including designers, developers, filmmakers, illustrators, photographers, typographers and writers. This event is free and open to the public. For more information visit the Home Work Facebook event page or contact Emilee MacDonald at 352-226-2393.
