On a dreamy midsummer night’s eve, the world of fairies, humans, dukes and donkeys all collide under the magic spell of cupid’s arrow. We see how true love never runs smooth, as the mischievous Puck proclaims “What fools these mortals be!” A bright and beautiful ballet in the classic style set to Shakespeare’s immortal ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ proves that falling in love is the ultimate gift.

This is a charming ballet crafted by Choreographer/Director Kim Tuttle that is readily understood by everyone! When it was first produced reviewers commented that “it was the best Midsummer” they’d ever seen. You will thoroughly enjoy the magic, fantasy and mischief in DANB’s joyous A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM.

The cast? BIG! This is a full ballet that includes the 13 DANB principal dancers, 5 soloists or guest artists, 8 members of the corps de ballet and 10 students from the school as tiny fairies. There is even one tiny “lion”.

Guest Artist Norbert Nirewicz dances the role of “Oberon” with DANB’s Julia Ponomareva his “Titania”. Roberto Vega dances “Puck” with the amazing Andre Valladon “Bottom”
