Join us TODAY at the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Advanced Manufacturing Council meeting to learn about ways manufacturing programs are developing much needed manufacturing talent throughout the region. The meeting will be held TODAY (11/10/2015) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Santa Fe College, 3000 NW 83rd Street, Building O.
Santa Fe College, the No. 1 community college in the nation has been awarded a grant from the Department of Labor and is offering classes in Training in Manufactured Construction (TRAMCON). During the course of this class (about one year), each student will have the opportunity to earn up to seven very employable certificates including OSHA, NCCER, and MSSC. In addition, Santa Fe College offers biotechnology training through the Emerging Technologies programs.
John McNeely, who leads the Career and Technical Education and Secondary Career Pathways will highlight these programs and other key manufacturing programs at the Perry Construction Building (Building O) on the main campus. Also learn about the new funding Santa Fe College recently applied for and updates on the Santa Fe College’s Gainesville Technology Entrepreneurship Center.
