Gainesville Tech Employers and Students Come Together to /hobnob

hobnob-photoThe Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with its Gainesville Tech Council, CareerSource North Central Florida, the Gainesville Dev Academy and Made@UF to host /hobnob, an “informal opportunity to mix socially with Gainesville techies.” The event provided an opportunity for 20 Gainesville tech employers and community organizations to connect with more than 100 of the region’s best and brightest students in technology fields, and enjoy delicious pizza sponsored by Leonardo’s by the Slice and soft drinks sponsored by PepsiCo. This is the third year the Chamber has hosted the event, which originated after the Gainesville Tech Council identified a need for a tech industry-specific career fair.
