Gainesville Chamber ACEC Strategy Development and Talent Alignment & Education Committee Member Earns Ph.D. from UF

ElioChiarelliJr-photoThe Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate Elio Chiarelli Jr. on receiving his Ph.D. in leadership development from the University of Florida (UF) Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) Department of Agricultural Education and Communication. Chiarelli summarized his research and defended his dissertation on “The Hardiness of Successful Agricultural Entrepreneurs in the State of Florida” last Thursday.

Dr. Chiarelli is a member of the Gainesville Chamber’s Talent Alignment & Education committee. As a committee member, Chiarelli helped plan and speak at the Chamber’s inaugural Career Discoveries, a workshop to inform students and parents about emerging career opportunities in the region. Chiarelli is also a member of Alachua County Education Compact strategy development committee. In addition to the Gainesville Chamber, he is active in the community and currently serves in various leadership roles in and around Gainesville.

During the day, Chiarelli is a Financial Adviser with Kidder Advisers, LLC. With more than six years in the financial services industry, he focuses on working with professionals, executives and employees to help them achieve their investment, retirement and financial planning goals. Chiarelli holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education and environmental science from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in agricultural leadership and economics from UF.
