The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications for its Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC). EDAC currently meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month, at 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe Downtown Campus Center for Innovation and Economic Development (530 West University Ave). This 14-member Board (9 voting and 5 ex-officio) is responsible for developing and providing policy recommendations to the Board related to the promotion of sustainable economic development activities within Alachua County. Terms are for four years unless a person is appointed to fill a partial term.
Current vacancies include two Alachua County resident positions, one position for someone actively engaged with economic development organizations, and an alternate member position (Alachua County resident).
