Gainesville Tech Council Explores Branding, Innovation PolicySeptember 6th, 2015 by gainesvillechamber
The Gainesville Tech Council met Sept. 1 to cover 2015 Focal Areas and the latest in local and industry tech developments. On the agenda was the regional branding project being undertaken as a component of the Chamber’s $6 million economic development strategy, Transforming Greater Gainesville, along with updates on broader upcoming events including the 50th anniversary of Gatorade as well as tech-specific events including a HobNob event being planned for later this year .
Tech Council members also interviewed candidates vying for the recently advertised Director of Innovation Gainesville position. The new director will execute plans to reengage the original group of IG Advocates as part of Innovation Gainesville’s new realignment under the Chamber’s Economic Development Division.
