Company to open first location in the area
Butler Plaza will introduce yet another new-to-the-market store to Gainesville this year. Kirkland’s, a specialty home décor retailer, is planned to open in early August at 3910 SW Archer Road in Butler Plaza West.
The new store will occupy a large portion of the former Barnes and Noble space in 7,000 sq. ft.
Kirkland’s offers distinctive home furnishings and accessories at reasonable prices such as wall décor, candles, lamps, decorative goods, accent furniture, textiles, garden-related accessories and seasonal merchandise, according the company’s website. The store also uses innovative design and packaging to market home décor items for intriguing gift-giving.
Even as a publicly traded company with over 320 stores nationally, Kirkland’s prides itself on giving back to local communities through philanthropic efforts and internship programs. The company is committed to make a positive impact with great partners such as Relay for Life/ American Cancer Society, The Charley Foundation and Safe Haven Family Shelter.
“The stylish and unique merchandise as well as their ties with the community are just some of the reasons I wanted to bring Kirkland’s to Gainesville,” said Butler Enterprises President, Deborah Butler. “I believe they will do exceptionally well here because they offer quality products at valued pricing with strong core values and outstanding customer service.”
