This week, 10 local companies took a step toward becoming successful exporters by attending Export University 101, designed to help companies begin an export initiative and gain skills and innovation in international sales.
“Without the help of the partners that do our consultations and work on Export University 101, we wouldn’t have been able to be as successful in recent exporting activities,” said Deepika Singh, President/CEO of Sinmat, who also was a program speaker.
Other speakers included: Chamber Director of Industry Development Staci Bertrand, U.S. Commercial Service Director and Senior Trade Specialist Jorge Arce, Enterprise Florida Regional Manager of International Business Development Larry Bernaski, Bank of America VP for Global Trade & Supply Chain Solutions Cindy Flores, TD Bank VP of Global Trade Finance David Matos, CTP, Meridian Finance Group Director of Sales Jennifer Simpson, and John S. James Co. Director of Business Development David Bryant.
Export University 101 is a training program developed by the Florida District Export Council in cooperation with the Florida Trade Alliance Partners. Export University 201, which dives more deeply into exporting requirements in the fall.
