Titletown Gator Club Awards Scholarships to University of Florida Students from Alachua County

The Titletown Gator Club has awarded ten scholarships to deserving students from Alachua County. Six recipients are high school seniors who will be freshmen for the upcoming fall semester at the University of Florida. The other four students have earned continuing scholarships, including two UF seniors who were among Titletown’s original recipients in 2012.

“We have some very bright and deserving students whom we have followed year by year along their college career,” says Titletown Scholarship Chair Allen Siorek. “These students have reapplied every year and continue to prove they are the crème of the crop from Alachua County.”

The Titletown Gator Club was able to provide the scholarships through funds raised at various events, including the Gator Gathering with the head football coach in the spring as well as the fall Tailgate Kickoff. Each student will receive a $1,000 award this fall. A scholarship committee reviewed applications and awarded them based on a combination of merit and need.

The following students will receive scholarship awards; Andrea Miskimen, Buchholtz High School; Lauren Cunningham, Eastside High School; Jana Demichele, St. Francis Catholic High School; Erin Sweeney, St. Francis Catholic High School (Recipient 2014;) Rebecca Law, Gainesville High School; Rosemari Malu, Gainesville High School (Recipient 2013, 2012;) Megan Booth, Gainesville High School; Amanda Krpan, P.K.
