Florida Named Second Best State for Business Once AgainMay 18th, 2015 by gainesvillechamber
For the fourth straight year, the state of Florida has been named the 2nd best state for business by ChiefExecutive.net. In addition to fantastic climate, Florida boasts a world-class infrastructure, flexible enterprise zones, and tax credits for research and development, according to the website. Rankings such as these are an important resource for businesses looking to expand or relocate, and Florida ranking high helps bolster economic development efforts, regionally and state-wide, as well as the increasingly competitive market for talent.
“Florida is making all the right moves as a great place to work and live. Property taxes are high though,” according to the website.
Texas held its spot at #1 from last year, and North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia rounded out the top five.
