Kick Off to Chamber After Hours!

Gather your business cards and join the Chamber for their largest networking events of the season! Chamber After Hours, a popular series of events that draws attention from the local media and the professional community, will take place on September 27 at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Celebrate the thriving business community in Gainesville and the start to Gator football season while enjoying light hor d’oeurves and an open bar in Ballroom A. The Hilton will also be offering tours of their luxurious executive suites, just in time to reserve a room for clients visiting Gainesville for Gator games and business ventures.

Chamber After Hours is an excellent opportunity to meet entrepreneurs from across the community and to expand your knowledge about business opportunities in the area.

“Chamber After Hours is a great way to socialize and network with professionals from our community. What you get out of it is directly related to what you’re willing to put into it,” said Steve Jeppson, Business Development Manager for Florida Credit Union and a Chamber diplomat. “Take some time to get to know at least two people you didn’t know before; what they do, what their passionate about and build your own network.  It’s also a great way to find products and services directly related to you and your business. Need a CPA? Marketing items? Dentist? Vet? House Painter? You’ll find someone at After Hours who knows someone reputable.”

The event is also perfect for businesses that are new to the Chamber and are seeking ways to become more involved in the community.  To ease your networking jitters, Chamber diplomats will be scattered across the room to introduce you to other businesses and to provide you with information on tools the Chamber has to offer to your company.

“After Hours is a lot of fun. The first event after the summer hiatus is a chance to catch up with old friends as well as a chance for a business to showcase its location,” said Jeppson. “Our local Chamber rocks and After Hours is an example of one of the ways it shows.”
